Terms and conditions
Refunds and cancellations
Full refunds can be offered if you need to cancel a block booking up to one week before the start of term. Once the term has started refunds are not available. Refunds are not available for cancelled drop in sessions.
We will offer an alternative session if Hatch Classes have to cancel a session due to staff sickness, or extreme weathers. In the event that we are unable to offer an alternative session then we will offer a full refund. We are not able to offer a refund if your child cannot attend the replacement session.
Sickness
Please do not bring your child to a session if they have had sickness or diarrhoea within the past 48 hours. For chickenpox and other childhood illnesses please refer to NHS guidelines for when your child is no longer contagious.
Medication
If you or your child require either inhalers or epipens please advise the Forest School leader and make sure the booking forms have all the details we require, including the type of epipen and any special instructions for administering any medication in the event of an emergency.
Insurance and Risky Play
Hatch Classes hold full public liability insurance and all staff are DBS checked. We do a full risk assessment on all of our activities and will always have a qualified first aider and first aid kit on site.
Please be aware that the nature of forest school means that risks are present. Children are encouraged to think about risk and develop their own understanding of safety. Activities take place over rough natural ground and natural hazards are present. Although we take every precaution to ensure safe play, accidents may occur.
At the start of each session boundaries and safety instructions will be given. It is your responsibility to watch your child during the session and ensure that they follow all and any safety instructions throughout the session. Hatch Classes cannot be held responsible for any accidents that occur on site.
Safeguarding
Sessions take place at Vinehall School, where there are boarders as well as day students. This means, for safeguarding reasons, it is imperative that participants sign in and out of sessions, and stay within the physical boundaries set by the session leader.
Nuts
Hatch Classes have a no nuts policy due. Please do not bring any food containing nuts onto site.
